Existing situation
At this moment the Costarican entity (‘la compañia’) behind the Hacienda, officially called and registered as ‘Hacienda la Esperanza Int. de Heredia S.A.’is owned by a committed and environmentally concerned group of nine Dutch both private and business investors.
They all strongly believe in the triangle People Planet Profit. Forest Returns bv, a Holland based well-known and broad experienced reforestation company, took the initiative to develop the multidimensional concept of Hacienda la Esperanza in 2004 and owns as per 2 March 2005 35 % of the shares of ‘la compañia’.
On 2 March 2005 100 % of the shares was certificated by notary at he total value of the property of US $ 1,000,000,-, based on the value of the 1.000 acres of land in 2004.
In the meanwhile the price of land in Nicoya Peninsula, the southern part in particular, is strongly rising on a monthly base.
Based on a healthy growth scenario in terms of additional landownership and supplementary activities a new emission of shares of ‘la compañia’ has been planned.
So, ‘Back to a fertile future’.
